We are each given particular gifts of the Spirit.
A community of faith, like any community, experiences change.
When a minister comes into a community of faith
a covenant is made; a promise to walk together as God’s people,
and grow closer to God. God’s covenant with us never changes,
but our covenants with one another do change.
Liaison Training 101 is a great refresher for liaisons who have done this work before and a great way for those interested in serving as a liaison to become equipped for this work. This training is your chance to review the duties of a liaison in supporting communities of faith with pastoral relations matters, including:
searching for a new minister,
creating a position description,
changes to the terms of a pastoral relationship,
celebrating with the community of faith and more.
When you register, you will receive the Zoom link and materials in preparation for the training to make the most of our time together. If you have questions about the content, please email Micol Cottrell, Minister, Pastoral Relations, at MCottrell@united-church.ca, or better yet, write down your questions and bring them with you!
