A message from the WOWRC Volunteer Recruitment Committee

Western Ontario Waterways Regional Council’s work of Connecting, Supporting and Transforming communities of faith is done by the Executive, Commissions, Committees and Networks made up of ministry personnel and lay representatives. Volunteers serve a three-year term which is renewable once. For the coming year we are seeking the following volunteers:

Executive (mandate) … President ElectTreasurer, 3 members at large and 1 youth/young adult member

Pastoral Relations Commission (mandate) … 4 vacancies

Congregational Support Commission (mandate) … 3 vacancies

Discipleship and Justice Commission (mandate) … 3 vacancies

Student Candidate Support Network … 1 student/candidate for ordination, 1 diaconal minister, 2 members at large

Volunteer Recruitment Committee … 3 members at large (the Committee meets as needed)

To share your gifts, skills, and experience, please complete an expression of interest on the WOWRC website. The Vice President will be elected at the spring meeting. Other positions will be discerned by the Volunteer Recruitment Committee and approved as a slate.

MEETING SCHEDULE

The Executive: meets every other month (September, November, January, March, May and as needed) on the 3rd Wednesday 9:30-12:30

Pastoral Relations Commission:  meets on the 3rd Tues of month at 10am

Congregational Support Commission:  meets the 2nd Thursday of each month Sept-June 12:30-2:30 PM

Discipleship and Justice Commission:  meets the 4th Tues of each month 7 pm, Sept-June
