DESCRIPTION:Wednesday April 22 10:30 AM-12:00 Noon on Zoom \nAs Christians we pray\, “Thy will be done.” But\, how can we know what God’s will is? \nFor hundreds of years\, principles and practices developed by Ignatius of Loyola have helped Christians discern what God is calling them to do and be. While we may never be 100% sure of what God wants\, prayerful discernment can help us make choices that bring us as closer to the abundant life that Christ offers. \nThis workshop offers a basic introduction to time-tested Ignatian discernment methods. Grounded in Christian faith\, spiritual discernment can help us make small and large decisions in our lives\, and can even be adapted to use in groups such as church boards\, working groups\, families and more. \nFacilitator: Rev. Thérèse Samuel\, Minister\, Right Relations and Social Justice. Thérèse previously completed the Jubilee Program in Spiritual Direction and is currently completing doctoral studies in Spiritual Direction. DESCRIPTION:Join us online Wednesday\, September 24th at 10:00-11:30 AM for Strawberry Thanksgiving and Communion\, and take your acknowledgement of Territory to the next level by considering the Spiritual Covenant.  \nMany congregations who have been acknowledging the territory for the past few years are asking what meaningful action they can take to move their acknowledgment from words to actions. You are invited to Strawberry Thanksgiving and Communion\, an online opportunity to begin the conversation about making a spiritual covenant. \nYou’re warmly invited\nto this special event featuring Adrian Jacobs of the Turtle Clan\, Cayuga Nation\, sharing on the Spiritual Covenant—a reflection on land\, relationship\, and reconciliation on Wednesday\, September 24th\, from 10:00-11:30 AM. \nAdrian Jacobs will offer a leadership in this workshop and communion service that will inform and inspire the discernment of churches on any traditional territory who wish to consider concrete action to live into their acknowledgment of territory. The workshop and worship will be grounded in history and scripture\, and will invite you to deeper relationship with the land and the peoples on the land\, and the Creator\, Christ and Spirit. (For more information about the Strawberry Thanksgiving and Communion and the Spiritual Covenant\, see below.) \nThe road to a decision about a faithful action by your community of faith is an ongoing journey. DESCRIPTION:Ministry & Personnel Gatherings\nA time for collegiality\, learning\, and conversation about issues facing M&P committees. \nParticipants must have completed M&P: The Basics on Zoom or through the recorded training. \nParticipants are required to agree with the confidentiality and group norms agreement as found below.  \nSituations discussed will only be talked about by broad themes without reference to individuals. \nNovember 7th 2024\, 2-3:30 PM \nJanuary 9th 2025\, 2-3:30 PM \nMarch 6th 2025\, 2-3:30 PM \nMay 1st  2025\, 2-3:30 PM \nWorship\, 30 minutes learning time\, 30 minutes of conversation\, Question and Answers\, etc. ending with a time to make suggestions for future learning. \nBy registering you agree to the following \nConfidentiality Agreement: \nI agree to maintain and respect the confidentiality of all information that is shared by group participants.  I will not share individual conversations or situations that are shared by other members of this group.   I understand and agree that failure to maintain confidentiality will result in my being asked to leave this group. \nGroup Norms: \nI will trust that God has gifted me with wisdom to share and with wisdom to gain from others. \nWhen sharing I will attempt to put situations into broad questions and not provide details about individuals.  I will strive not use the names of ministers\, employees\, or congregation members.   For example\, I will ask about a situation.
